Notifications
What notifications are
The device can notify the user, when certain states or events occur.
Examples:
- When a sensor leaves or enters its normal operating range.
- When a digital input or output changes its state.
- When a watchdog gets triggered or reenters expected state.

To set up notifications, it is necessary to first setup and enable the respective interface to be used as the notification channel on its configuration page and then enable the notifications on a peripheral on its configuration page.
Notification channels
Notifications can be delivered by multiple channels, also concurrently. The channels correspond to the interfaces, you find in the main menu:
- Email (Docs page)

- SNMP (Docs page)
Peripheral notification settings
