Firmware

Firmware refers to the software, that runs on the device.

The file that contains the firmware is refered to a Firmware Image and has the file extension .bin.

Download a Firmware Image

egnite will regulary provide updates to the firmware in form of firmware image files on this website:

https://www.egnite.de/support/firmware/

After downloading a firmware image you can uplaod it to the device on this configuration page.

Upload Firmware

  1. Click on Choose file and select the firmware image file (.bin) from your local file system.
    Alternatively drag the image file from your file manager into the area with a dashed border.

The filename should now be displayed in the section.

  1. Click the button.
    The device will install the provided firmware and reboot. //TODO

On the left hand side of the Upload panel, details about the currently active firmware are displayed.

You can use this information (e.g. Version) to verify a firmware update.

Alternative Firmware

The device stores the previous firmware, that was installed before an update.

If you are having issues after a firmware update, click on the rollback button, to activate that stored firmware version.
