General
Basic Settings
Hostname
Choose a name to identify the device in the network.
The hostname is also shown on right hand side of the topbar to help distinguish multiple devices.
Location
A free to choose string specifying the physical location of the device.
The location is also shown on right hand side of the topbar.
Language
Choose your preferred language of the web interface from the dropdown.
Date & Time Settings
The device is capable and set up to automatically gather the current date and time from the NTP (Network Time Protocol) system (a.k.a. time server).
This functionality requires the device to have internet access. If this is not the case, it is also possible to manually set the date & time
Use NTP to automatically set date & time
Choose, if you want to use NTP, or use the manually specified date & time settings.
NTP Server
Set a custom NTP server optionally. In most cases, the prepopulted time server pool URL is adequate.
Timezone
Optionally choose your timezone from the dropdown.
Custom Timezone
Optionally instead of picking a predefined timezone, you can enter a custom timezone setting.
The expected string conforms to the POSIX TZ format, documented here under TZ.
Manually setting date and time
If you can not use a time server or prefer to set it explicitely, click the button.
This will open a new page, where you can use the date and time pickers accordingly. Alternatively, instead of manually picking those values, you can click , which will populate the pickers with the date & time settings your browser/computer is using.
Click to make the changes permanent.
Make sure, that the checkbox 'Use NTP to automatically set date & time' is unchecked, to make your manually selected date & sime settings effective.
Database Settings
Logging interval
The device logs past sensor and event data.
While events are logged as they occur, sensor data is saved at regular intervals.
If the default interval is not what you prefer, choose another interval (in minutes) from the dropdown.
When the storage capacity of the device is depleted, the oldest data gets deleted to make space for current data.
The greater the logging interval, the more data fits onto the device.
You can check the current storage usage under 'Database' in the Memory section of this page.
LEDs
Brightness

Adjust the brightness level of the LEDs to adjust for your environment.
Configuration Backup
The whole configuration (settings made in this web interface) can be downloaded as a .txt file to your computer. This file can then be uploaded at a later point in time to restore the device to the saved configuration state.
For security reasons, you can choose to download a version of this file, which does not include passwords.
Memory
This section gives an overview over the RAM and storage space usage of the device.
The storage holds the configuration, as well as the database, where sensor history and past events are stored, according to the Logging interval setting above.
Clicking the button will permanently delete the sensor and event history, while leaving the configuration intact.
Maintenance
This section allows to

Resets the configuration, which includes all settings made in the web interface and cannot be undone.
Pressing this button will effectively reset the device to factory settings.
localStorage is a part of your browser to store vertain settings, like the filter and sorting configuration on the Dashboard.
This can be useful, if you encounter display errors on the dashboard.
It is advised to backup the configuration before resetting it!
